    What are these for?

If the heater control has the place to put the light it would be on the end closest to the passenger side. It may not just depends on year after market or stock etc. some interior parts are inconsistent like that at times.

    Brass Valve Stem

Only ever seen the bolt on ones in raw brass or chrome. Even the universal ones like this are mostly chrome. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/aaf-all44135 Only really know about these because race car BS.

    No oil pressure

I hope this is being done with a priming tool, however new oil, new filter and new pump should prime fairly quickly unless there is some kind of blockage in a galley, cooler, or line somewhere. Also make sure you add enough oil not only to fill the pan but any cooler or lines you may have.

The 4 bolt main LIE !!! Or is it???

Yes my next big power project will be putting a belt driven manifold on one of these, or similar if I build it myself. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hpe-sp41-1p

The 4 bolt main LIE !!! Or is it???

I don't think it matters if 2 or 4 bolt for most SBC builds most are under 500 the majority of those probably actually under 400. If built Correctly 600 is about all you'd want to try and squeeze from a SBC using a stock block. Yes a SBC could make more but then you're looking at Dart blocks...

What have you done to your square lately??

For $100 here you could have put the part in the cab behind the seat or maybe in the bed and left the trailer at home. :laughing1:

What have you done to your square lately??

Defiantly anything with a solid cab minus maybe a bit of floor pan work where the door seals can leak is gold here, everything else can be unbolted and replaced. Square body trucks that go for anything under $5000 here are just parts and that's usually just due to the driveline unless you get...

What have you done to your square lately??

My truck is from Washington never driven in the winter here, I couldn't find an Ohio truck that overall, was as nice as this one for a decent price and didn't have a cab full of Bondo and patch panels poorly installed. From what I can tell I don't think the fenders were the originals from what...

What have you done to your square lately??

Passenger fender full of trash front and rear as well as the other half of that can of Bondo. The rear is rotting from the inside out from all the dirt and leaves rotting away in there.

What have you done to your square lately??

Swapped out the driver fender. Lower no longer flapping in the wind. The AMD fender fits and lines up very nicely however they need to add the little tabs to their shims the little squares are a PITA. Hood is just laying on top to cover the engine now I have to fight the passenger side I can...

Bench seat with floor shifter..to console or not..

Defiantly an interesting storage solution/arm rest but doesn't that get hot? It fits the minimalist interior I like it.

Fix this Paint? Any ideas that I do not have to repaint the whole Suburban?

That right there is why I don't mess with clear. Single stage and if it ever needs touched up its sand for adhesion, paint the spot, wet sand to blend, done. Did away with the Sante Fe roof on mine and you can't even tell matches the rest of the cab and doors in both color and shine. Ya I get...

Nice but what's up with the oil pan?

Bench seat with floor shifter..to console or not..

Mines an auto and with the center consol/center seat all the way back and my bucket all the way forward mine needs relocated as it was installed when the bench was still in it, so it needs to come back that's my reach without leaning forward.

Bench seat with floor shifter..to console or not..

I've found that with these trucks the floor shift isn't bad depending on if you have a center passenger or not and how far forward you have the seat. You may find with the seat full forward and a center passenger you'll be all up in their crotch. My old 78 F100 was even worse than the C/K trucks...

What have you done to your square lately??

Especially that block they are basically extinct around here on the used market they pop up from time to time on marketplace but otherwise it's either remanned short blocks or new stuff thru summit like blueprint etc. or aftermarket stuff like Dart. Closest machine shop is like an hour away all...

    Chuck’s engine build thread!

Look at it like this you'll know every measurement and how it all went together. That's how I look at it. I could give you every spec for mine off the top of my head from installed heights to pushrod lengths to gasket numbers, cam specs, parts brands everything and I put it all together and...

    Chuck’s engine build thread!

Soon the fun part begins. I hate waiting on parts and for machine work, but I love me some assembly. It's my autism.

What have you done to your square lately??

Had that happen last year the whole end of both the large caps fell off was noticeable without a gauge you could feel it; it was that bad. The whole bottom end is forged, and I never got on it, so no damage done but 11.5:1 with that big of a vacuum leak is never good.

    Trans Fluid and Filter Replacement

I drain the pan and top back off in the spring and use Mobil Delvac tractor hydraulic fluid. Also mix a splash of type F in so I can see it on the stick since the Delvac is clear. Note I'm not running the typical TH350/400 or 700r4 I'm running a race built power glide...
