    I don't think the length in the rear will make a difference if same leaf count. I swapped my 56s to 52s and only noticed a difference because I went from the 7 leaf BIG TEN springs to 4 leaf stock springs, I could not find the longer spring in a 4 leaf pack.

    That is an Eddy so a vacuum diagram won't translate. Can tell by the 2 idle air screws and bit of decal in the red circle also that bolt (orange arrow) being 1/4" in the breeze probably not helping and is probably a vacuum leak.

    If it has braces bolted to it to help stabilize the transfer case it could be an issue, others my have to chime in my experience with two 4x4 trucks both had a divorced setup ie. a drive shaft between the transmission and transfer case.

    The one that goes under is the fixed end the over is the shackle end, so it doesn't hit the shackle when flexed a lot if I remember correctly. Spring ends are typically the same on these trucks with the exception of the longer spring packs that have a longer rear section from the centering pin.
