    Old77’s GMT400 SWB 4x4 5-speed project/DD

Rear window out and interior taken out. Will start working on that corner in earnest tonight/tomorrow. My goal is to have corner repaired and new window in by the end of the weekend. Then front ball joints and inspection to get tagged next week

    Old77’s GMT400 SWB 4x4 5-speed project/DD

Yep....the wheel and tire setup is about what I paid for the whole truck.....NOW you're coming around :hands: Stay tuned on the cab repair. Hope to make progress on it this week as soon as I get the interior out and rear window fully removed

    Old77’s GMT400 SWB 4x4 5-speed project/DD

Bed is off. Looks like someone used to pull a gooseneck with this thing :hmm: Doesn’t seem idle but it’ll be getting removed before a replacement bed is put on. Tomorrow will be time to remove a lot of the interior so that I can give that upper corner some attention. Frame and all the things...

What kinda drama did tuner 1 bring into your life?? Glad you had another tuner you could fall back on!

Gonna use this to repair my upper cab corner. I expect it’ll be here a little after Memorial Day.

Kinda what I was thinking, too. And probably less likely to warp from heat because of the bends and whatnot :love62:

    Old77’s GMT400 SWB 4x4 5-speed project/DD

I don't know exact details but yes was part of the tree and truck meeting. And, to be fair it's entirely possible I may fubar the whole repair up but my brain says it should be very fixable. I should have two of those corners coming my way in the near future so theoretically I could have two...

Agreed. I’ve had several GMT400’s over the years and I love the platform :)

    Old77’s GMT400 SWB 4x4 5-speed project/DD

Apparently ran off the road and into a ditch and the bed met the business end of a tree  And yes that is mig weld globbed onto the b pillar :happy175: it is awful in person!!! Hahahaha but I do think I’ve got a good lead on fixing that from a feller on gmt400. That is literally the worst...

    Old77’s GMT400 SWB 4x4 5-speed project/DD

Short bed, small lift, 350, 5-speed, 4x4, rust free, 233,*** miles Overall, truck is super clean but does need a thing or twelve. Radiator has a small leak in it and I’ll probably throw a tune up at it. Other than that the rest is cosmetic. I’ve tracked down some options for a replacement bed...

    Old77’s Oldest Kid’s 1992 S10 Blazer thread

When we try to pop the rear glass with the blazer turned off the actuator will not pop the glass. He has to start it before the button will pop the glass. With it turned off, we can here it attempt to release the glass. Anyhoot, any idea where we can find a new one? When I search we’re only...

Save that guy’s site to your favorites. He’s always pulling stuff in and can usually find anything you need. He’s a valuable resource.

    Fuel Tank Selector Valve Shield

Agreed. When I did all the work to restore my fuel system on my dually, I put it back just because I figured it gave that valve some protecting against road debris and whatnot.

Some times, that's about the only thing you can do is to leave it, walk away, get some peace and quiet and get back to it later when the dust settles. I've been there many times. You go this, man :handshake:

    Huck's daily - 2005 Z71 crewcab

All that dirt is why it makes me cringe every time I see a truck with flares on it. I just assume that the truck is roached under the flares and if I was to ever buy one with flares I'd assume I'd have a bunch of rust repair ahead of me. Especially on those trucks you see rolling around on stock...

    Old77’s Oldest Kid’s 1992 S10 Blazer thread

Welp, FINALLY got her back together! Ended using a helicoil kit on that buggered up bolt hole created by my son. Hopefully this will be a lesson for him in torque values going forward  We fired her up after he got home from school today. No puff of smoke and ran smoother than she has...
