    I just really dislike them because so many people slapped those on to cover up rust and I'm certainly not going to stick them on the cab and fenders of the truck to match the bed so they'll be coming off this weekend :)

    New to me bed acquired and is on the truck now. Bed needs some bodywork but is rust free so I’m pretty happy with the deal :waytogo: first step is taking off the bed rail diamond plate deals and the chrome junk off the bottom.

    Dude, you’re now the luckiest person I know! :happy175: my first exposure to the GMT400 was when my dad bought a 92 Sierra new off the lot. That sumbish leaked on the passenger floorboard almost right off the lot!! It definitely didn’t have much age when it started for sure and he never fixed it...

    Good stuff @Ricko1966 :waytogo: I’m just thankful today was successful and the job is now complete. Has made for a pretty relaxing night. Looking forward to putting some miles on her again as I continue to pick away at her :)

    Yes, the lower ball joint slides into a pocket of sorts in there. Your carbide burr idea may be a good one. I'll keep that in mind as I conitnue to work through this thing. I'm going to attack it again as soon as I get home tonight and I'm not finishing until the truck is back together tonight...
