I’d gamble whatever that switch went to is gone based on what you’ve already posted… But to understand, One wire to the light One to the junction on firewall And the third?

    K5 3” lift question

Search for a spring service shop in your area, they should be able to re-arch your front leafs and add an extra leaf to get you to that height. The spring shop that did mine also custom bent me all new U bolts and supplied the hardware for my newly reached springs and my lift blocks in the...

    Neutral Safety switch

lol…. Those are old pictures, I probably enjoyed a celebration beer when my column was complete. Actually, I dug through that day’s pictures and once the column was built I spent beer time cleaning and polishing my PCM and my billet bowtie horn button

How to lube the clutch peddle?

That’s about what they look like, mine were blue or green maybe…? You can kinda see the ones on my brake pedal, same concept as the clutch. (Just ignore my auto trans swap pedal assembly) ETA: If the stover nut holding the pedal assembly together is over tightened I could see that causing...

    Neutral Safety switch

When I replaced my switch I went from a 4 prong to a 5 prong, the back up light and neutral safety harness plugs hooked right up. I haven’t tested the unused prong you are referring to so I don’t know for sure if it goes to ground when in park/neutral. You can always buy one and test it to...

How to lube the clutch peddle?

Just take it apart, clean and lube it, there are a few thin plastic bushings in there too. The bushings are not very expensive so you might as well replace them while you’re in there.

    New Panel Coatings

The front fenders on my truck were GM replacements from the late 90’s that came black e-coated, just scuffed and painted them. That paint job was 25 years old when I started my restoration and there were no signs of the paint or e-coat failing.

    I need direction.

Some basics for the switch to EFI... Fuel: You’ll need an EFI fuel tank/fuel cell, or alter your tank to accommodate. With the fleetside trucks most people swap the tank for 1987 truck tanks and sending units, not sure if this applies to the stepside trucks or not. The '87 tanks are baffled...

    Death wobble

Not sure if the K30 frame is as weak as the K10 frame but if you've experienced some violent death wobble I'd check the frame for cracks at the steering box. More for damage from the death wobble as opposed to the cause of the death wobble, although a bad enough frame break could contribute to...

Search for a spare 15-inch wheel or two

5x5 Chevy Rally Wheel 2WD Chevy Truck Rally wheel I’m not sure if they were offered in different widths but would be a good idea to measure your width too. I’ve seen some late model vans with a similar center cap and trim ring which have been confused with the classic rally wheel so pay close...

    Full top conversion

Anything ‘75 or older in California is worth something… That was the cut off year for SMOG inspection I’ve heard there is a new law for anything over 35 years but I don’t know of anyone who’s registered one yet to find out.

    New

Welcome from California… We need some pictures of this 1980 C10 Sir, I just finished a 3 year build of my ‘80 K-10 which was my first vehicle and my daily driver from 1996-2007 https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/80-k-10-squircle-build.34732/

    Mirror post gasket?

My aftermarket mirrors had the grommets fall apart before getting them installed…. My Dad cut a grommet from a multi size kit in half so it slips down over the gap.

    Roof Panel Replacement

lol, if it’s over 80 degrees mix that sh!t on your way to the panel and get it down quick. I suspect it goes off like the rage gold does, if so get a few good swipes to smear it good and walk away. I have a tendency to over work it, when it starts to go off and you’re trying to work it it will...

    Roof Panel Replacement

Yup, they are great for shrinking down high spots and dealing with oil-canning panels. There’s a bit of a learning curve with them though. @Doppleganger if the panel feels somewhat solid, I wouldn’t hesitate to spread filler if it were mine. You seem worried about the factory contour but so...

    Best radiator fan kit -Alloyworks?

I bought and returned at least a dozen hoses at O’reiley before my dad found that one in the Gates catalog, I think he looked through the catalog for days before finding that and a few other options

    Best radiator fan kit -Alloyworks?

If you zoom in on my picture you can see the Gates part number on my hose, it’s a 1.75”. I think it’s from a G van IIRC

    Pinion depth way off

I was suggesting to apply and check pattern in 3 spots… We don’t need to see the other patterns, it’s just for you to ensure that the gear contact remains the same. If you get a noticeably different pattern it’s indicative of a problem like a piece of garbage, bulge around one of the threaded...

    Pinion depth way off

Looks like a decent pattern to me, right on the center of the tooth with feathered edges and no sharp lines... If I were to be super critical it may be slightly deep but hard to judge by a photograph. Question, was the ring gear put under tension while you did the pattern? I recommend you...
