The way I did it only took seconds and was one man.

Unusual way to bleed brakes. Just might help someone.

Gravity bleed isn't the same on all vehicles depending on residual pressure valves, stand off valves master and reservoir location, line routes, etc. Also the fluid is moving so slow and with such small volume the air can actually keep moving up the lines as the fluid moves down. In my instance...

Who knows auto insurance? Ins outs loopholes

My son was involved in a 3 or 4 car accident on the highway this morning. The police didn't write a ticket because whoever caused the accident ran away on foot. There was no one to write a ticket to. Vince only has liability. Should he report this to his insurance, in case the police find the...

    New fuel pump help

When I did something similiar. I mounted my new pump by the tank. Took the fuel pump pushrod out of the engine, and used my existing pump as a junction block to join supply line to carbureator and return line back to tank.

    New fuel pump help

I'd run the return line it's better for the pump. Is your pump mounted by the tank and as low as possible?

    Correct Gear Oil+

The big deal with GL4 is it is safe for something with brass synchronized. They'd have been right if we were talking about a brass synchro transmission. The transfer case doesn't know the difference. The pressure additives in some gear oils are too sticky, they stick to the brass and continually...

What new tools have you got lately?

To make sure we are on the same page. Use a ball smaller than your pipe.Ball inside the pipe hit the pipe above the ball with the hammer, the metal below the hammer will flatten and stretch slightly, stretch, stretch, stretch. A little here a little here, a little here, all the way around and...

What new tools have you got lately?

Turn a reciever hitch ball sideways in the reciever. Use the ball as an anvil and use a hammer to expand the pipe. Like a train flattens a penny smack the pipe a few times in on one spot, rotate the pipe and smack it some more.

It's actually not that hard to convert your manual linkage pedals to hydraulic then you also have options as to what style clutch slave to use.

    Radiator fan and shroud

I'd say your core support mounts have sagged and your new inserts are s little taller. Maybe the radiator lower mounts are a little crushed also.

    Radiator fan and shroud

Did it have transfer case braces under the motor mounts that got left out. Did you change any mounts including transfer case transmission?

    Quadrajet Idle Mixing Screws

Is the carbureator on or off the car? Off the car, clean and dry I'd try hitting it with propane. On the car I'd use a soldering iron to apply heat use patience and more heat you know mixture screws only effect idle mixture. So push comes to shove leave them alone. Let it be rich at idle.

Unusual way to bleed brakes. Just might help someone.

Not a fan of gravity bleeding. But using the caliper instead of the master for the pressure source worked and was convenient.

Installed new tachometer and put a 70s fuel gauge in 85 cluster and now truck won’t start any ideas?

Disconnect the tach see if it starts. The tach is probably killing ignition pulse.
