Is that the original color, or a little darker? It looks great!

    Door brace tab?

If the driver's side tabs are in fact loose, they are not supposed to be. They were supposed to be spot welded together. Passenger side needs repaired.

    Hood Decal - Any leads

I'm guessing they want one of those big, pre-cut, mural type decals like what you often see on newer Wranglers with angry headlights and brightly colored door hinges.

Are you looking specifically for the kickdown/detent cable provision? The A-body used that setup too.

    1977 K30 draining battery

One would ASSume that the OP would notice if there were other wires still hooked to the battery when they disconnected the battery cable. I bought a car two months ago. It had a battery drain issue, when purchased. I know the PO, he put a new battery in the car in November. I fully charged the...

    1977 K30 draining battery

So, I missed that part in the beginning. If you have a fully charged battery that will start a vehicle, then it gets disconnected and it will no longer start said vehicle after a day or two... that's a bad battery. Semi, technically, or whatever you want to call it, that happens often. It has...

    1977 K30 draining battery

Yep, had that happen a time or two. Once was just recently. I've also had a bad starter drain my battery before too. Once thing to note with the test light method is that some things like a radio memory, or a phone charger in the sig lighter, will cause the bulb to light up very dimly. That...

    New or junkyard?

Are you sure they weren't old aftermarket fenders? Those had a very bad habbit of the weld nuts breaking free. The GM ones, not so much, in my experience.

    Tachometer 6 cylinder

It will work, but not read the correct RPM. I personally do not know how, but folks that are smart with electronics can convert the signal for the proper reading.

    NP203 question

Yes... on a non-converted 203, if you run selectable (locking) hubs, you MUST run with the hubs locked, OR the t-case in a "Loc" position. So that wasn't an "issue", but rather, just a fact of how an open differential works. Now, if your truck wouldn't move with the case in a "Loc" position...

    NP203 question

There seems to still be a lot of confusion here, as misinformation is still being posted. It's really not complicated... *Non-converted 203 with factory slugs: -Use as the factory intended. *Non-converted 203 with locking hubs: -Hubs locked, use as factory intended. -Hubs unlocked, you must...

    NP203 question

You can run with the hubs unlocked, but you have to run the t-case in one of the "Loc" positions. Lots of trucks were swapped to manual hubs, but no part time kit installed in the t-case. It was a cheap and easy way of taking strain off the front driveline. It all still spun, but the strain was...

Anyone know how to disassemble this fender antenna?

The two flats are for removing the mast from the antenna body. It's likely seized as well. Trying to remove it will very likely break the little stud. I though the goal was to just remove the antenna from the bezel, so a CB antenna could be mounted to the bezel.

Anyone know how to disassemble this fender antenna?

That big hex nut should be what holds the antenna body to the mounting bezel. It will be a fine thread pitch and might be a bit seized on there.

    New or junkyard?

For the 70's models, good used GM fenders haven been realistically unavailable in my area for 30 years. The 80's fenders, while hard to find now, can still be found in good condition. Until recent years, all aftermarket '73-'80 fenders were crap. I haven't had the opportunity to use any of...

    Taillight question

Going off memory... All taillight screws are #8 sheet metal screws. The ones in the housing are phillips head. The ones for the lens are panhead torx, in stainless. Older trucks are maybe phillips there too, and stainless. 3/4" or 1" long.

Help with C10 Short Box Front Tire Size

For me, rim width plays a big part in it. I don't like the front tire to be much narrower than the rear if the rim widths are the same. That's just my preference though.

Someone needs it. Is it from the 6 cyl or the V8? It might take a while before you come across someone that needs it, but they will be grateful when it does happen.
