What have you done to your square lately??

I worked at a local garage in the late 90's. The trash cans were always full of empty beer cans and bottles. And maggots, lol. Anyways, bees would often hover over them. A quick spray with brake clean and they would die immediately and fall to the floor. Not so with today's brake clean... they...

What have you done to your square lately??

Yeah, Eagle GT came on Camaros, Montes, 2wd S10's and some sporty fwd's too. I believe the +4's didn't come along until the early 90's. The GT+4 came original on my dad's Bonneville SSE in '93. Speaking of old Goodyears, you might appreciate these ones I found (in a ditch) a few weeks ago. They...

I had a couple sets of those, they were great tires. Wish they still made them. Especially the outlined white letter version.

TH350 will not engage after sitting for three months

The linkage itself could be out of adjustment too. That's also a very simple adjustment to make, with just a single pinch bolt on the linkage rod. If you break the pointer on accident, I "know a guy" with several NOS replacements.

    Suburban Lightbar Installation and Advice

I bought 4 retired ambulances last year and still have two of them. The lights, sirens and all still work. One of them is driven daily. I haven't looked up the laws on leaving everything installed. I figure ignorance is better than intentionally violating any laws, lol.

    4" lift for 1977 k10

I agree about the crossover steering. On a truck used mostly on the road, you'll never notice a difference. Some people will say otherwise, but that's my experience with it. Now with that said, if you were going to be fully rebuilding the steering system and using a high end steering box...

    4" lift for 1977 k10

Yeah, so that's not at all comparable to a lift kit. That's all the components you would get with a kit, plus every other part of the suspension and steering. And it's all upgraded too.

    4" lift for 1977 k10

I do believe you should give Offroad Design a call. You should be able to get the ride you desire for within your budget and it will be better than an off the shelf kit. Does your rig already have a raised steering arm? Or is the drag link at a pretty steep angle?

    Body trim molding 1977

"New Cat Yellow" or "New Equipment Yellow" paint from a farm store is very close to the original shade of mustard yellow.

    Suburban Lightbar Installation and Advice

Lol, that's backwards from Ohio. Any light that is installed, whether it's required by law, a factory optional light, or an aftermarket light, is supposed to be functional.

TH350 will not engage after sitting for three months

It would be simpler to just figure out which shafts are engaged in each position.

    Suburban Lightbar Installation and Advice

If you are installing a light bar, you will hopefully not be using it when on the road and other vehicles are present. Therefore, best placement for on or off the road would be the same. Roof mounted will give the best results.

Ok, so you have selectable hubs. Were they unlocked when the truck was towed from behind?

https://www.autometaldirect.com/complete-premium-body-molding-set---polished---73-80-chevy-gmc-ck-squarebody-truck---long-bed-fleetside AMD still lists theirs. It's way nicer than the LMC trim.

I've seen worse that still runs ok. A lot of times, that scale just comes right off with very little pitting left behind.

It may just be the angle of the picture, but the taillight opening seems a little mis-shaped as well. Particularly the upper portion.

Yeah. That guy. He's been banned from here and numerous other forums. I think @Keith Seymore knows someone that does those reproductions?

    Door brace tab?

I may be incorrect then. I'm pretty sure I've got doors with a spot weld there, but I won't swear to it.

TH350 will not engage after sitting for three months

I once had a '78 van with a th350 and if it sat for a few weeks, the fluid level would get low enough that the transmission would no longer transmit anything. I don't remember if it would act up at only 1 qt low, or if I would just simply dump in another qt of fluid to make it do transmixer...

Very stupid question: Are you maybe installing the housings upside down? I'm not trying to insult your intelligence, I just thought there's a small chance it might be worth asking.

    Fleetside bed sides different?

In the 70's, the standard tank was on the passenger side, so the driver tank was the optional one that someone would have added later on. In the 80's, it was the opposite.
