Worth purchasing 1976 c10 silverado in fair condition for $2500?

Can't say about that side of the country, but in the land of rust, that's a killer deal. Big block shortbed trucks were not rare, but definitely uncommon compared to total production. All '76 half tons got a 12 bolt rear, regardless of engine.

What have you done to your square lately??

But you are fine (I think) with some generalizations... Like, "boobs are good". Lol.

Just stay away from them and you'll be fine. If your wife/girlfriend/side chick likes them, that's acceptable though

I love the hole saw... but I would absolutely have to make one on the other side to "balance it out" lol.

Bench seat to bucket seat and center console conversion

Is your focus comfort, looks, or originality? Personally, I prefer original looking buckets. As luck would have it, I find them comfortable too. But some people want a more modern seat because it fits them better. And some people want a sporty, race car type of seat.

Uh, 74k... it's a damn nice truck, but good golly! Some rich guys with some White Claws in them must have got in a bidding war, lol. *edit* If the new owner ends up a member here, I meant that in a good-hearted teasing way. Lots of people are rich compared to me and if I could afford it...

What new tools have you got lately?

I've got a couple of those drill dispenser cabinets (older), I didn't even know that's what they were for, lol. I keep npt fittings, compression fittings, adapters, seatbelt bolts and other similar small items in them.

Muffler upgrade that make stock exhaust roar with be abnoxus

Are you SURE it's the original cat? I ask because that makes a gigantic difference in exhaust note. So if you have the original cat, the only way you are going to get any rumble at all is to replace the muffler with a straight pipe. And it will still be very civilized. I found this out back...

    Dim headlight question

Usually when a sealed beam headlight is dim, it's just a dirty connection in the connector itself. Especially if it's a connection that has not been disturbed for a long time and you just messed with it (like installing a new light). If you wiggle the plug around while the light is on, you may...

What new tools have you got lately?

I got on the Snappy truck for the first time in like 5 months. I already used the spring loaded one for weatherpack connectors. It's awesome.

    700R4 Information Thread

You are correct, the F-bodies through '86 also featured a 2nd gear lockup. And @HotRodPC you are correct too, it can be very annoying. I just researched this recently as the insanely low lockup speeds on my '86 Camaro were really getting to me. I did not remember my other 86's being that way...

    New trim

I guess you could say I'm relentless with a garden hose. I'm particular about a squeeze nozzle that can produce good velocity, then I get every angle I can to get water in behind the trim and blast it until I see no more debris running out. My Chevelle wagon is a good example. It sat somewhere...
