What have you done to your square lately??

Ok, now I'm getting sad too lol. Isn't that rebuildable 350 worth around 100 bucks still? Don't those intakes have some value as well? I know at least the injectors would be handy to have around for future use.

Will 1990 Suburban front seats swap into a 1990 K5 Blazer?

Those K5 buckets share a mounting pattern with a bazillion different GM cars of the 80's and 90's. The Suburban seats however, share a frame design more like other GM products of the 70's. I'm sure you can make it work though. It might just take a little fiddling.

    Orfice filter stuck, broken

The removal tool I have actually locks onto the tabs on the orifice tube and pulls it out. ...I doesn't always work very well though. But, what does work great is to heat up a long and narrow flat blade screwdriver with a torch. Make it glow. Then stab it all the way into and through the...

    Drag link recommendations

A few thousand miles is a ridiculously short life for even the cheapest, crappiest drag link ends you could possibly buy. Is the truck lifted a bunch with no steering correction? Did you forget to grease them?

What have you done to your square lately??

I meant the 60's type. Like this: https://www.jegs.com/i/Stainless-Works/842/CR2525/10002/-1?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22912459324&gbraid=0AAAAAD6OBREGel_27gJOu_VyLM0PaUDuH&gclid=Cj0KCQjw1ZjOBhCmARIsADDuFTDUsu-QPGgGWtYIDrL8sh3fG4KbuLruCHZsYLFN6qZ3KazTpxEIE50aAmrREALw_wcB And as far as the...

Can I talk you into chambered exhaust? Pretty please? Lol. The couple times I've heard chambered exhaust on modified LS-based stuff, it was downright cool.

Engine Bay Clean Up & Charcoal Canister Removal Help?

When I removed the canister on my '84, I simply left the tank vent line in place, but made a turndown out of the hose.

    1964 Chevy ll ls1/t56 swap

Very true. The quick gear swaps are expensive though, since it includes another carrier, center chunk, etc.

14 Bolt 10.5" Rear Axle -FOUND-

'81+, *most* K20's got the 9.5" axle. Lots of C20's got them too, but 454 trucks got the 10.5" axle standard and I think the diesel trucks too.

Just a note the '93 and older Dodge trucks still were a passenger drop axle.

14 Bolt 10.5" Rear Axle -FOUND-

So I guess I could have been more specific. It needs to be for the squarebody years, due to track width. A K20 unit is preferred due to perch spacing and shock mounts. I used to see complete units for sale all the time for 150-200 bucks, but those days of them being common might be over. A C20...

Need a Drivers side front diff/axle setup ....

There were none on the driver's side, in the solid axle years. A Ford axle would be what you would need and there's options there. Why can you not run a passenger drop t-case?

Experienced masters, please provide restoration guidance

I wonder where they came up with the "71" figure. Everything I've read in the past, the figures were unknown, but guesses were as many as 200 big blocks and around 1200 SS wagons overall. They must have been built at several factories too. That one in the article has the "chevelle" badge on the...

What have you done to your square lately??

Yeah, I know. But the ball height was already too high. It wasn't planned out at all. Just one of those "hey, I need to do this real quick, it should be fine" type of situations.

Looking for a 10.5" rear axle, preferably from a K20 truck. Gear ratio and brakes do not matter. Primarily need a good housing with good spindles.

What have you done to your square lately??

Well. So much for "just to move trailers around the yard". I needed to get the box truck back to the shop. But I also needed a ride home. So 5k went on that bumper hitch for a 50 minute trip home. It turns out, a plug weld would have done no good. I could have swore the factory bumper could...
