Yes, same year pickups used the same gauges.

What have you done to your square lately??

I wouldn't worry about the galling, as long as the new bearing slides on and seats well. If it doesn't slide on, just hand file the galling down until it does. So the face of the spindle nuts have machined grooves? If so, that's common. Maybe not original, but new replacements.

Rods and heims will look much better too. That arrangement looks like a park brake cable, with the spring on there.

Odd "Misfire"? on 2013 Yukon Denali

I've always assumed "bad gas" was a myth. I have never got bad gas from a station, nor do I know anyone that has.

    TBI/center bolt valve cover options

How so? Placement of the breather/pcv/oil fill is not critical. GM themselves moved them from location to location depending on the year and car/truck model. All that matters is that the breather is on the opposite bank as the pcv valve. Here's two typical ways GM did it. The breather and PCV...

I also think there should be a "head dorkfish" badge for @Old77

I like the badges for military, law enforcement, emt, etc. That's a cool idea. The Admin and Moderator badges though... those are a bit gaudy, lol.

In all seriousness, weren't some of the performance variants painted orange?

I had no idea the blocks were painted Caterpillar yellow.

Odd cable/control going to foot feed.

You'd be surprised. They can be no match to a steep incline. Especially once a driver forgets to release the brake, they start to drive off and smoke the shoes.

These ones should meet all the requirements. They are GM Performance Parts / Proform if I remember correctly.

Odd "Misfire"? on 2013 Yukon Denali

I've never minded working on the GM vans. In many ways they are easier to work on than a truck. Truth be told, I actually like the '71-'95/'96 G-vans better (they are just more "me"), but the '96-current vans are far superior in basically every way, including ease of maintenance.

Is there a shipping date in the box? I ask because that copyright date of 1995 is just for that box design, which lasted until a few years ago.

    Have Part to Give

Pretty cool! If not used for a nice driver truck, it would at least make a nice wall hanger in a garage. The lock hole even makes a nice place to hang it on a nail.

    Smoke machine advice

I don't remember it being harmful to lungs either. I'm really not sure though, it's been a while. I don't remember any warning labels that cautioned not to breath it. It was definitely new enough that it would have had big safety labels and warnings everywhere. I think we purchased it in maybe '06.

Lol, it's pretty nice to pull an intake manifold while sitting on the padded floor and both footwells make good parts/tool trays.

700R4 Lockup Torque converter control issues solved

The trans I talked about previously was an '88 model. I ended up pulling it and sold it to a buddy than needed a good 700r4. The overdrive was nearly useless for me, so I installed a th400 in it's place, along with larger tires.

No, not at all. It was a super fine substance that was not harmful to anything. It was expensive and purchased from our Snap-On dealer.

    Diagnosing mysterious sound from Tran/Tcase
