Help. Issue with 700r4 on truck i just bought

Check the fluid level in the truck first, and x2 on the TV cable being on the passenger side of the trans. It then runs up and over the trans to driver side of the throttle body. Do some reading on this article to give you a better understanding. I had to change my TV cable while on the truck...

    Brake Lines Copper or Steel

I miss that car :( lol. Been trying to find another since about right after I sold it. Probably my worst case of sellers remorse. It had the original 225 Fireball. 64 Came with either the 225 v6 or the 300 v8. I bought a mid 70s SBC to put in there with a 2004r to go behind it. Had a 3:23 posi...

Check out inline tube. They have pretty good prices and offer stainless and OE steel. I believe the stainless is harder to work with, but its all prebent so that shouldnt be too much of a problem. I bought their stuff for my 64 Skylark project I sold. They were able to get me lines pretty close...

Crap, you sir are correct, I thought there was an Oil Change light for Trans Ams and a Service Vehicle light for Camaros. I'm kinda doubtful now that what I mentioned will make the light go out.

VATS system can be a PITA sometimes. I bypassed mine and put tape over the light. I also have a starter kill so I wasnt too concerned over it. Here is the process: https://www.ls1.com/forums/f6/how-bypass-your-vats-61262/ If you have another key try that one, sometimes the resistors get worn...

Neither do it. I was thinking about the BBK aluminum intake, I heard that flows quite well and its cheaper than any FAST. Of course people talk about heat soak but I'm not buying into it, just looking for a little more giddy up. Let me know how it goes. I think service vehicle light are set by...

FAST intake swap while you're there? Service vehicle light may just be an oil change reminder. Try the following procedure to reset: Turn the ignition key to RUN with the engine turned off. Push the TRIP/OIL RESET button located on the instrument panel for 12 seconds.

Time and money. What should I do??

With as many squares as there are still in service I think it would be worth exploring selling the utility bed separately and putting a regular bed back on. Thats a clean truck to have either for yourself or to sell.

    Power mirrors?

I was gonna say those mirrors look like either van mirrors or similar vintage Dodge mirrors. That connector looks like its from a Dodge to me. Edit quick google tells me I'm wrong. Not a Dodge set but the plug is similar to later model Chrysler connectors

Anyone use these guys for carpet kits?

Thats an ACC part number. ACC (Auto Custom Carpets) pretty much has the market locked. They offer lots of options (thickness, carpet style, deadener, etc) If you google that part number you may find it for a better price. Either way, you will be happy with the carpet. I've used them before on...

Original engine here with the exception of a few mods. Looks like the exhaust manifolds were pulled when the previous owner put straight pipes on. I had the top end off doing a head gasket job. Also waiting to finish my 5.3 swap. The Burb is so damn sluggish going up the mountain passes near...

    Power mirrors?

Ugly SOB's. GMT400 style mirror with a square body base. I think they were available 1990 and 1991. Switch was located on the driver door panel which I think is different in a 77.

    Cargo doors

I ended up scouring craigslist for them and found a few for around $250 a pair. Local junkyard had a few squares left that had *not as rusty* as mine for a song so I picked those up. The way I see it you will be spending a considerable amount of money on repairing them so just replace them...

1984 C10 Common Problems? What to look for

Its an old chebby, your biggest issue would be the body shape. 350 replacement parts are a dime a dozen and priced as such so barring anything major you should be ok in that department. If it runs and drives and the body is in acceptable shape I would buy it...for the right price.
