fuel delivery issues ain't getting none

Well I'm sitting here waiting for the rain to stop before I get the new pump on, and was thinking.....If the old pump was weak, would that explain why the carb bowl is empty? Is it possible that it was only pumping enough to get it to run, then when it sits for any period of time what little is...

You can buy new fuel doors. Blew my mind.

The doors are readily available, it's a recessed bedside patch panel that the door closes into thats not made. But I swore I've seen them someplace.

Well that worked, blew some some air in the tank, blew gas a few feet. I tried cranking it over after that figuring it was primed and nothing, not a drop pumped by the pump. Thanks everyone, especially Snooks for the suggestions. I got a couple days before the new pump gets here from Rock auto...

fuel delivery issues ain't getting none

I got a fuel pump coming and in the mean time I wanted to see if the issue was before the pump, but I haven't figured a way to to pull a vacuum on it. I think the shop vac might be a little much.

fuel delivery issues ain't getting none

My 85 k10 with a 350 holley carb is not getting fuel. Usually after sitting for a week or more it takes a lot of cranking to get it to start. yesterday after not starting all winter it was no different, except this time with way to much cranking I got nothing. I pulled the fuel line at the carb...

So you got a 76 title and vin tag, with a 78 frame and a 83 cab. I think I'd just run with what ya got, getting the state involved could turn into a can of worms.

Partial VIN frame - can anyone read this

Hey Keith, to see this number I'm guessing you're talking about looking behind the engine bay side of the heater, but when you say heater box it sounds like the interior box. could you clarify?

Partial VIN frame - can anyone read this

Maybe T=GMC, 7= 1977, and J for Janesville assembly plant? You need to clean it up to see it better. 505639 are the last 6 numbers in the vin

Thanks Lego, I think you're correct! I've been looking at numbers for days and still can't figure out the T77518541, it seems to have one extra digit compared to what I see on the net.

    Order Of Install

I'm fitting patch panels on my 85 and trying to see what's what around the cab corner area. It looks like the rocker panel in sandwiched between the inner and outer cab corner. Can someone confirm this for me? Thanks.
