    Blown rear axle seal

Thanks Drifter. Lots of miles (200+K) and hard work (citrus/beef industry) she got. That was then, not now. Just recently started driving highways again 100 miles at 75MPH. I guess I'll find out Tuesday when I start digging into it.

    Blown rear axle seal

Blew a seal on rear hub. Thought she could handle highway speeds after 33 years. Turns out not so good. Now I need to replace a seal and without even looking I can already see new bearings and seals for both sides. New brake shoes for the leaky side. If the axle is warped or pitted, new axles...

    New gauges installed.

When you put $10k into body work and paint, $300 is nothing.

    New gauges installed.

Got for Christmas last year. Had a problem and they sent me a whole new kit. This one works great, not diesel. They were out for a long time, had a small supply for about a month and now it appears LMC is out again indef.

    Another awesome accessory (BLUETOOTH)

Another great item for the 33 year old truck. This device plugs into the cigarette lighter spot and when you dial into a blank FM channel on your radio, it will bluetooth your smart phone through the speakers. Thats both Sirius XM music and hands free phone use for about $16. Plus it charges...

Great back up light bulb replacement

Not sure what everyone is using, but I just got these to replace the weak backup bulbs in my V10. I can now see when backing even with tinted windows. Seem to be very high quality. Very happy with them...

    Gauge Cluster Swap

LMC Tach Conversion Kit. When available they are listed for $299.95. Since the guy that was making them for LMC passed away, who knows when they would be available again.

    Gauge Cluster Swap

    Rubber or poly bushings

Last month installed ORD Kevlar bushings for all leafs and sway bar. The ride is smooth and for the same price as other kits you get greasable bolts.

    I'm taking the plunge....2005 seats in a 76

At first it felt odd, but now I love it. It rides like a cadillac.

    Kevlar Suspension Bushings vs Polyurethane

Already see one top bolt hits the exhaust the other side hits linkage. If I can't wiggle the stock bolts out, I'll cut them and just slide the new ones with nuts facing in.

    Kevlar Suspension Bushings vs Polyurethane

Any of you folks have an opinion on the Kevlar greasable suspension bushings offered by Off Road Design? Looking at replacing all three bushings on all four corners, including the sway bar. ORD kevlar kits plus shipping should be about $232. The polyurethane kits available everywhere is about...

    Leaf Spring

I'm looking to replace the bushings on the leaf springs front and back with urethane. Looking in the Classic catalog, it shows 2 different OD bushings for 87 V10, that are about an inch off my 2 1/2" wide leafs. Any advice on which sets would work?

    Can't believe this gas mileage

Not factory. LMC tach conversion. Adds tach in place of giant gas gauge and places the small gas gauge in the original unused spot.

    Can't believe this gas mileage

    Can't believe this gas mileage

I can run it dry, then switch tanks. The beauty of having two tanks. I hear it's not good to do that though. I like to fill up at half tank, it's a military thing.

    Can't believe this gas mileage

When I fill up, the Needle goes to the top of the F. You probably have more gas than the gauge shows.

    Can't believe this gas mileage

Stay with me, I'm not a math major. 16 gallon tank, each quarter is 4 gallons. Half a tank 8 gallons. Just past half give or take the width of the Needle, I'm good with almost 10 gallons.

    Can't believe this gas mileage

Not quite what I thought but still pretty good. The truck has 16 gal tanks just to assure everyone. Drove 172.5 miles, gauge read just under half a tank see pic. Fueled up and pump read 9.928 gallons, so I'm thinking gauge is pretty accurate. 17.375 MPG is what I come up with.

    Can't believe this gas mileage

Just started to keep track of mileage, I thought it was my imagination as the gauge was not moving, after driving 152 miles, now it's at 1/2 tank (left side saddle tank). I'm getting over 19 miles per gallon driving around town. Will prove tomorrow when I get gas to see if I'm really at half a...
