    New Sanden 508 compressor

Tired of replacing this every few months. This one lasted seven. I see leaking from both the body and the hose connectors. Wanting to switch to the Sanden 508. The shop is asking if I want to switch all the pulleys to serpentine. Already anticipating the headache and bill. I'm thinking of just...

What have you done to your square lately??

Had my hands full with taking care of a mess of little annoyances. It started with the rattle somewhere in the dash. Found a disconnected brace from the firewall to the bottom of the dash by the ashtray. Replaced two front speakers while I was there and tightened that AC ducts. Then bought a new...

    Oil Pressure Sensor Location

The newest problem. Watching several videos and post here, still not sure. The sensor on the top back of the engine under the distributor appears longer than all the parts the various stores are showing are right for my truck (87 350). Now I see there is another sender down by the oil filter. My...

    Thanks!

I just wanted to say thank you for all the folks that have helped me on this site over the years. From my latest AC cooling fan, adding new speakers under the dash, steering, suspension, electrical, the list goes on. I have benefited so much and my truck is proof. This truck looks and runs...

    Retrofit Electric Engine Cooling Fans

By the way you can hear this little 10" fan from pretty far away. Luckily past 20 mph the wind noise drowns it out. Have not been in enough traffic yet to see if it really makes a difference in the AC temp coming into the cab.

    Retrofit Electric Engine Cooling Fans

Here's what I did to add a cooling fan to the AC Condenser. All in about $30 from Amazon. You do have to reverse the fan blades to blow and find the right wire to make it spin in the right direction. Remove grill and the fan shroud and top radiator supports in order to get access to the back of...

In Florida here it doesn't ever seem to get cold, and if it does it's only a short time.

how to wire an electric auxiliary fan to come on with vehicle ac

Can't seem to find info on it anywhere. I would like to add an electric fan to cool the condenser in front of the radiator. I have about 10" to fit the fan between the oil cooler and outside edge of the condenser. I would like to have the fan turn on with the compressor, but not cycle on and off...

    New issue

Well, gave it a shot. Without a lift, and my hands and eyes just don't have it anymore. Tried drilling and extracting but wasn't able. Taking to a shop to tap out. Sorry guys, no winning here today.

    New issue

My only concern is the pretty substantial support bar that is not connected. I'll work on it though.

    New issue

Here's a couple of pics. The broken bolt that was just dangling there and the pieces I have wired so they stop rattling, till I get to fix it.

    New issue

Trying to see what might be rattling underneath, I found the metal tube that protects the starter wires from the exhaust was not connected. Then I noticed the support bar that bolts to the bell housing was loose. The bolt has snapped and was just sitting there. Can't imagine how it stayed there...

Yes, tried the longer bolt, so far so good. I should have just read this thread instead of dicking around with it all day, and now that I'm done I see this. Thanks guys!

    Intake manifold and stripped bolt

I have narrowed down a possible oil leak due to a stripped intake manifold bolt. The furthest back towards the fire wall, passenger side. Can I drill a new hole and put a helicoil in? Any tips of the trade would be appreciated.
