Still rollin' in the 1995 as our daily driver. Also the newest vehicle of the 8 we have. I was checking the oil the other day and took some under hood photos as I have not done that in forever. For having 245,*** miles, it runs like a champ but burns some oil at startup and when cold.- Catbox

Spare tire mounted under the front bumper?
Under the front would FUBAR your approach angles or ability to bomb through mud or snow. Bumper mount of some sort to swing out of the way for me. -

Yup. This thing will still grab hard ground and buck like a true horse. But it is miles better than the front tine tiller we have used in the past. -

If it were mine to make choices on.... I would find a junkyard L-31 engine for $250. Rebuild that with a 4x4 power cam that would support a set of the inexpensive aluminum heads that work like champs. That way you no longer have that lifter noise. You have roller lifters. If you haven't already, try installing a set of 1.6 rockers on the intake valves. The exhaust is good enough already and won't really need them. A little more lift, just might provide the pep in your step you are looking for. Just roll the engine over by hand before you start it. Only you know...- Catbox
