I rebuilt mine with parts I bought and new rubbers. Never again! What a PITA! I had some serious time, cussing, and drinking in mine by the end and I will say they came out o.k. Not worth the effort IMHO. Send them to Precision and be happy paying the bill.

I'm on my third set. Rebuilt a set for a 87 K20, a set for my 88 K5 and in the process of rebuilding a set for my 84 GMC. Precision will be your best bet for replacement parts. New rebuilt ones run around $300, each. I spent about $100 last time around for the set.
The GMC might be a bit more, as I'm going to powdercoat the frame work and the window frames need to be replaced.

Sure, if you’re not actually making the truck body look as nice as when it was new.
Doesn’t seem like a good plan in the context of these guys in the thread who appear to be doing major body work and new paint.

As a temporary patch, it works okay and buys time until you can do it the right way. I will send Ralph’s vent windows out to be rebuilt. Freely admit that I’d end up putting my fist through the windshield if I tried to overhaul them.

Bodywork, paint, full custom interior? No problem. Wiring? Passable. Engines, automatic transmissions, rear gears or glass? That’s what specialists are for…

it's a lot of tedious pita work but very doable. If I can do it with no feeling/dexterity on my index/middle fingers on my right hand, you can do it. I'm pretty sure I put a video within the last week showing step by step.

Lube is key.

As Camar068 stated. It’s a PITA. I used LMC rubber, that was a mistake. Fit like trash. Used alot of Wd40 and got them in

I rebuilt my drivers door window. Everything looks & fits great, but they don't seal worth a sh*t! Wind noise, and water from a carwash comes in. I can usually do these types of things with success, but not this time. I do not see anything in what I did that is wrong, and it all looks good & new, but...

Found the video that helped me a lot. Yeh it's a "homemade" video but there were good points and good chances to freeze it. Thought I had it d/l'd......d/ling now lol.
