Best Door Panels
Pardon, but there's no reason to bust up your door panel with just a little care. If you need replacement buy used original because a lot of replacement stuff does not fit well. Get Eastwood plastic interior paints to finish it up. 2 cents! -

I swapped in a 2004R instead of the stock TH350 on a Cutlass. The overdrive is a little deeper than the 700. It worked great. But for the weight of a truck, you should rebuild it with the latest upgrades for strength.- towin'gmc

Broke second throttle cable in 6 months.
Just how long do you keep that thing on the floor? You might check the carb linkage throw and bracket distance for binding at the bracket.- towin'gmc

Carburetor rebuild
Hey Anthony. The quadrajet is a great carb but complicated for your first attempt at rebuilding I think. I have saved a couple of them for future needs. Just contact SMI and let them send you one with no electronics rebuilt. No need to buy new. If you want a new unit I believe Holley has Q-jet...- towin'gmc

Hey I have been stumped and wishing I could be the one to figure this out. Our Red Cross has a K10 Suburban for emergency response and the barn doors are locked. Some yeahoo broke in way back before my time and the door lock is punched and gone with the doors shut. I can't see any way to get... -

I agree with Old77! I let a audio guy cut mine and it doesn't really work. Very small space in any door and very little depth. So I would use pods you can mount and maybe a box for some bass. I do have an amp under the seat which really helps the output.- towin'gmc

Got my issues done Found vacuum leak bad lines around the distributor from heat. Cycling has stopped. Also replaced the little inline valve at the line splitter which was brittle. HotrodPC does your truck have air? The swing door from heat to vent below the glove box could be hanging up on the... -

Appreciate responses Thanks! I have located those tabs on GM parts. I will check out the rubber connectors and stuff: should prob be replaced anyway. After I get the new tab on the door I will start up in defrost and see if that will keep it working. Good ideas from you guys and thanks again... -

First of all thanks to 89 Suburban for all of the pictures and research. I have the vent/heat door working against that strong spring and the plastic tab is broken that connects the servo to the door…. so it will not close. Both of those doors work on linkage but why does that spring work... -

Gear Vendors are overdrive by .74 I believe. With all of the new overdrive automatics out there, they are kind of old school. However they are bulletproof. Lots of use in drag racing. they shift by solenoid so you can control each gear in and out both, or leave it automatic for high gear only... -

Hi. The Gear Vendors has been great. Firm shifts and better road mileage with the 410 gears. It shifts to overdrive at 45mph unless in manual mode. I figure I won't repair the engine for now until I really have a purpose for the truck......kind of a limbo now that it has a problem.....first time... -
