I'm getting my rear diff ready and I need to get parts. I'd like to know if anyone prefers the 3:42 over the more common 3:73 for normal driving and highway, no towing or hauling ever. Truck is a 78 C10 with a 6.0 & 4L80. I "think" I'm going to run 275-60-15 tires on the rear. I played with...
I just saw this and was going to recommend the rivet nuts but you already did that. I just used those to fix the stripped holes on the firewall for the blower housing since there aren't any nuts, only extruded holes with about one thread. I used 1/4 x 20 with the same amazon tools, worked great.
Hello. I'm doing a 78 C10 that is a rotisserie build, it's currently still apart and I'm doing the final blocking. I'm going with a medium blue metallic. No pearl, flakes, or anything else. Just blue metallic and a few coats of clear then cut and buff. I've never used House of Kolor...
I took a ton of pics before disassembly but I don't see what these holes were for. I have all the rest of them accounted for but these four are a mystery so far. It's on a 78 C10 with factory AC. Anyone know what they are for? I'm sure they will come into play during assembly but I want to...
Thanks, I'll check that out. It's on a 1978 C10 that we've had since new. Here's three more pics. I think this is a 708 or an 808. The round cover is around 3.5". I'm just curious more than anything, I'm going to attempt to go through it and seal it up.
I've search for a long time and can't find how to decipher this code. I'm just curious about it, its on a steering box. Anyone know how to read this? All I see on the internet regarding clock codes are ones that have 12 marks, not 5.
I'm putting my front end back together and I have a new Moog idler arm. Both tapers are the same and it looks like it can go either way. I "assume" it can't be put on backwards, does anyone know different? It's a 78 C10. I haven't put it on yet, I just painted some parts including the drag...
Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has ran into this before. I can't find any good info when searching. The new front springs are listed as 2" drop springs. The pic with the arrows shows where the top of the coils line up (pics are upside down). Look at the other end and see where the coils end...
