honestly i dont see why i would need to but every where i read theres things about the security on the LS's as well as removing the EGR codes etc for the header swap and for re-maping the fuel system if you run a aftermarket fuel system etc- Timothy87

Thanks for the input im not but about an hour and a half from you in Fairfield. my only concern is the ability tune the ECM etc.. do you have any experience with that?- Timothy87

First just want to introduce myself briefly my name is Tim and i am from Tx. I just picked up a 79 c10 (really its a GMC)... Anyways its a Short Wide pickup. I plan on making it a street truck/drive to work truck. It came with a junked 396 that i sold off already because it was not at all going...- Timothy87
