When cranking hold foot on brake, if it depresses down when cranking the brake vacuum booster is bad.

Yes, I do believe that is what you need to hook to choke. I think mine went to old stock Rochester metering valve than to choke and think it changed color. Been a minute since all that has been hooked up.

I'm looking to change to some bigger heads for my 350. I will follow this thread and see.
Looks like these don't have valves, and kind of vague on their specifics. I have been looking at the Etec, look pretty solid from what I gather.

2 1/4" turned out before rear axle on Bessie, 86 k5 Silverado. I went with headers when I swapped to the roller 350 vortec. Not much room under there, and headers do more than any type of crossover. $.02

86 k5 700r4 TV cable has apparently stretched, I have 5 wire ties at end of cable at the carb and is really close to shifting correctly. When I replaced motor the intake had different distance between bracket and carb. I tried to replace cable,but can't get to it very good to make sure it's...
I had these symptoms, and it was my alternator. My voltage meter was going nuts when I would gave it throttle, and motor just kind of fluttered.
