On my 76 K5 restoration, I beefed up this area. The frame had slightly cracked on the previous owner, and he did a pretty good job welding the cracks closed. Rear Sway Bar on a K-series
I put a rear sway on my 1976 K5 years ago. Really flattens out the truck on curvy mountain roads like we have here in Montana. Road handling is better.
