1979 K20 5.3 Swap
Dakota digital passthrough speed sensor on the speedo cable at the transfer case. It has a 4K PPM signal if I remember right. Apparently you can have your pcm flashed for 4K p but I already had my pcm flashed so I also used a Dakota converter box doodad (sgi-5 I think) to bump it up to 128k PPM...- smurfasaur

1979 K20 LS SWAP
Truck is a 1979 K20 with a freshly rebuilt LM7 5.3 (LS swap) and fresh 4l60e with a 1 year warranty. Motor is a stock rebuild besides a late LS1 cam, long tube headers, performance tune and cold air intake. That’s a good call! I will throw a price on it and see what happens. When I first put it up for sale it was only a possibility that I would have to sell it, so I was more just seeing if there was any interest in it, but now it’s a sure thing that she needs to be re-homed. what is the easiest way to swap an LS motor into a K10?
That’s a good idea!! If I ever tear down again I’ll probably try that. I went back and forth about the neutral safety switch because my 60e didn’t come with one but I went with just using the column safety as well. Still not sure if my reverse lights will work but I’ll figure that out later...- smurfasaur

That’s a really good deal if it’s a good running engine. If you can hear it run or at least to a thorough inspection (and I mean thorough: if you have to rebuild an LS it gets expensive real quick), I would snatch that up before someone else does. As others have said, stock ECM can be used as long as you’re sticking with the stock fuel injection. Go backwards to a carburetor or aftermarket FI and you’ll need an aftermarket controller. Tons of people do mail- order tuning if you’re not near a local tuner. I had BlackBear performance do a tune for my 5.3 since I did a cam swap and headers, etc. Harness isn’t scary at all. Only 2-3 sensors use the same plug if I remember right so it’s pretty foolproof if you buy a premade...- smurfasaur

L99/6l80e swap under construction

DIY Bedliner
I haven’t used either personally, but I go back and forth between raptor liner and monstaliner. I think I the end I’m going to get some monstaliner for my bed, bumper, and rockers.
