Right, that’s what I was potentially thinking. Seeing as how this is possibly going through insurance I figured they’d try to find the whole thing. Also I hit a traffic cone with the right one and bent one of the arms. So I was going to try to have a shop order 2 and I pay for one myself.

I just had a minor fender bender today. The driver side mirror was messed up pretty bad. The posts for it seem to be fine.

They read pretty much spot on. But it doesn’t seem to have the issue when I’m idling.
I’ve been working on semis for the past 6 years, if I had a nickel for every part that was bad out of the box or went bad 6 months down the line. I’d just put my truck in a shop.
The suspicion came from it going up to 220-230 then back down about 20 seconds later. After I flushed and reinstalled a thermostat for the winter it would get up to 210(middle of gauge) and not go any high. Roughly 5k miles without issues.

I’m assuming the gauge is fine since it sweeps no issue.
The 195 that was in it and the 180 that’s in it now are both Napa brand. It’s all I could get.
Sensor for gauge is in head.
195 Tstat would run engine at 210 gauge rock steady before issue developed.
180 Tstat runs ~190, unsure since...

As I drive up the road the temp gauge will climb to ~220-230, then fall back down to thermostat temp. It will do this repeatedly.
I had changed the antifreeze and put a 195 thermostat back in it for winter. (About 2 months ago)

The tab that the vent window frame rivets to broke. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? It looks like that tab is riveted into the door frame part.
