Carpet
I got an Essex kit from Rockauto and having nothing but problems with it fitting correctly. I did not get the mass backing but put down Kilmat everywhere. I think that might be throwing off the fit just enough to make it a struggle. The front cab section is about 3/8" short to the sides. Also... -

1981 K1500 Power Door Locks- Rear not working
Quick update...I charged the battery and now getting 12v at the plugs and everything is working good..I think my suspicion was correct that the rear door mechanisms need the full punch of 12v to actuate -

From what I can tell, the power supply from the head unit doesn't have an "in" from the ACC wire but has an out to the amp that is...- scenic760

Thanks for the kick in the backside on this! I realized my soldering iron was junk and the solder I was using didn't have a flux core...a $12 fix from amazon with a new iron, solder, flux and I'm getting great results now!!- scenic760

After yet another one of life's little delays I have started installing wires...I was tying to figure out how to mount the amp under the seat and I didn't want to blindly start drilling through the floor. The solution I came up with is a sheet of ABS I put in the oven for about 10 min at 450...- scenic760

Drip rail gaps
Hey all! I went to go put my drip rails on after paint and it I have small gaps between the body and rails. They do snug up at the screws but the gaps are still between mounting points..I have tried the 3m mounting tape and there is still a small gap. My thought is either a thicker mounting...
