yes. but it grinds the park detent in the tranny. so by turning the engine off is how i stop the rotation in the tranny- rtgs

thanks mrmarty. i just pulled this out of the pasture. been sitting sence 2006. the 305 started and runs, but I have a fresh TPI stroked 383cid chevy that im thinking of installing. that we'll take care of the mounts.- rtgs

i have a bone stock 84 Jimmy with a 700R4 & NP208 i belive. the problem is that when i meke a quick stop like for a light the car goes into like a nuetral gear and I have to turn engine off shift transfer case from 2hi to 4hi than back to 2hi start it up and it drives. does anybody now the cause...- rtgs
