how much clearance did you have between the tank and your rear end? from the measurements I got from LMC it is going to pretty close to my 10.5" 14 bolt.- puke171

Has anyone swapped the saddle tank for a 40 gallon rear mount suburban tank? I put a flat bed on my 79 regular cab long bed k25. But I don't want to give up my side boxes on it. I've heard it can be done but it takes a lot of modifying. I know at least one cross member has to come out...- puke171

This is just a random picture off to be the internet so you can see what I am talking about. The red line is where it is broken. I will get an actual pictures on friday. But a standard 454 bracket should work? I know the 781 heads are supposed better but I am on a budget and it is not a...- puke171

big block heads question
The heads are going back on the 427 tall deck. That I am going to put in a 79 K25 with the sm465, np205, with 4.10 gears. And the truck is just a work truck nothing else. I'm going to use it to cut fire wood and pull a gooseneck. So the horsepower would be nice but I mainly what the torque.- puke171

I have a set of 772 heads off an 83 427 tall deck and im wondering if I should have them rebuilt and the bigger valves in them, or spend the extra money on 781 heads?- puke171

I found a good deal on a 427 tall deck out of a 83 c70 feed mixing truck a few months back for my 79 K25. I bought a stock rebuild kit from northern. I also got a cam form comp cams. It had a set of 772 heads on it, and a governed holley carb that has to go. My question is are the heads...- puke171
