    Pulled egr out yesterday and it was clean no carbon anywhere so does that mean the egr no good?

    Ya I hear ya both right now I'm working on getting this pig up to par as soon as I get my kiddo from school I'll be pulling the egr out and cleaning it along with doing front shocks and hopefully get the interior in orderas well

    Looks like I'm not finishing the rebuild for a while so I'll put it back together just so I know how to do it and store it until I get done with school because between work and school I don't have any extra time hell I don't even get to see my family

    OK as far as I can tell half throttle the truck shifts very firm its not slamming into gear or slipping into gear so I think it has something aftermarket done to it.     I have plans on putting fuel pressure gauge in with a pod one for fuel one for temp and one for trans temp and one for oil pressure I'll check codes and report back thanks guys

    That would be a safe assumption......how would I tell if the tranission has a vette servo or shift kit.....and this question is for Jim. My truck has a check engine light that comes on randomly and also randomly will die when I put it in reverse or drive and has a bit of a stumble as well
