    Would have replaced it then and there, but i didnt have a strainer for the bosch pump or the correct wiring. if the pump goes out i will just open the floor back up and take care of it.

    Ok, so when i pulled the fuel pump i found the problem. The little rubber hose that connects the actual pump to the sending unit was completely disintigrated and had a large hole in it, when removing it, it was very moldable, like clay.     Has a brand new filter. Double checked fuel pressure today, and its about 7 psi max so i will be buying a new fuel pump tonight, only 30 bucks new with a warranty from rock auto. Will be a pain to fix, but still worth it.

    I know it hasnt been messed with either, i know the people who serviced it and who i bought it from. They sold it to me for 800 bucks, and take half of my pay check every week until it is paid for. They are also taking off half the cost of any repairs to get it running from what i owe them.

It was sitting for about 2 years with a brand new fuel pump and nearly empty tank. i believe when i let it idle for 10 minutes on three separate occasions before taking it to be filled up it may have burnt out the pump because the pump must have been very dry.
