I think the previous color markings advice was correct, but you can always double check with a 1.5 v AA battery or a 9 volt battery. When you touch the positive wire to the battery post and the negative wire to the negative battery post the cone of the speaker should move outward each time you...- mnsouth

Radio in-line fuses keep blowing
In re-reading your post if you are saying when you twist -lock the fuse holder together the fuse blows ? if so you may have already passed the point of no return and the radio has fried some guts. Longshot /hail Mary check to make sure you do not have a switched power out wire of the aftermarket...- mnsouth

Radio in-line fuses keep blowing
Oh and red wire from the aftermarket radio I would guess is 3-5 amp fuse ... check the manual that came with the radio or check it out on the internet.- mnsouth
