The first transmission is a 700r4 for a v6 in a 3rd gen Camaro. The tailshaft housing is the giveaway. Camaros used a 3 point rear suspension using the tailshaft housing.
Talked to the stealership a couple days ago and got my answer.
The computer outputs a square wave signal based on the battery state of charge by using a sensor on a battery cable.
If it doesn't see that signal, the alternator defaults to 13.8 volts or doesn't charge at all.
Damn, waste of time...
Looking for the pin outs for a Bosch 160 amp alternator from a 2007 Escalade. Search came up empty.
Bosch 0124525104 or GM 15128978.
It's a 3 wire alternator with battery, and 2 small wires straight out the back. What do those 2 wires get hooked up to?
Library remains closed due to this damn...
I've gotten some parts from R/A but haven't had to warranty anything yet...mostly I use them for looking up part numbers if I know the application then buy from amazon or locally.
What I would do is remove the center section and cut the axle shafts off so I can use those ends as caps and reinstall the rear cover. Fill the rear with gear oil and you're good to go.
It might take a bit more fluid due to the missing mass of the carrier/ring gear to fill. I wouldn't worry too...
