    So I'm back up in the midwest visiting family and my dad has a 77 square body in the trees, the only thing not ripped to **** is the vent windows, which I need!! My truck is an 86, will the glass work on my truck? and possibly the frame too? Thanks!

    Rear end pop

    After a few days of searching and everything, it sounds like it could be caused by axle seals going bad. Either way, not too worried on the brakes, at least it's stopping!! Still want to get the popping noise figured out. It's nothing CRAZY but I want to figure it out before It gets worse...

    SOMETIMES while turning in reverse or drive, the rear end will make a slight pop noise. To my understanding it has 3.08 gears. It doesn't affect the truck while driving or anything, but I like to fix things before it breaks more stuff. Any tips or pointers would be appreciated. Also...

    No Spark...

    Fixed!! Sorry I didn't get back to the forum sooner, been super busy. I changed out the ignition control module and she fired right up. Autozone tested it 6 times and said it was good. But, of course, it was bad, problem fixed and I'm back to cruising!

    Ok, so just put my motor back together, everything up and going. At first I didn't have spark, new coil fixed that. Ran great at idle, going down the road everything. Took it home, stopped someplace, got back in started right back up. I tried to get on it and it seemed like it was not throwing...

    ...Damn it... haha. Ok, so I pulled everything apart, before seeing this, which shows that I need to visit here more often. The very back head bolt was indeed, not torqued down... and of course, it was the last bolt.. :banghead: ... needless to say, the gasket was fine, and going back together...

    The freeze plugs are good to go, checked them out as well. I saw it coming right out from between the block and head. Thanks for the info guys!

    Square Body Down!!!!!! Parked my truck the other night, and noticed lots of dripping. Took starter off because that's where is was dripping, did a pressure test, and it is leaking, a lot, right under the head. Time to replace the head gasket. Now the fix seems simple, but looking for any tips...

    Also, I keep hearing that there is a bus bar ground under the dash? where the heck is this thing???? Neither one of my power windows will go down, and I would really like to track down all possible options as to why.

    I just put a tach in. Running about 2200 rpm at 60. Still trying to find out the whole wiring deal with this truck and how its exactly set up. I need to get all the headlights, turns to work but it's been raining lately so I've been stuck inside spending time working on the Cafe Racer.
