Joining late, but to reiterate: You need to go by the reservoir size.
On the cast iron units: larger reservoir in front services the front brakes.
WIth the aluminum body units: larger reservoir in rear services the front brakes.
But it is ALWAYS larger reservoir = fronts; small reservoir...
The one with the Haulmark?: yah - that was ill advised. I wouldn't do it again.
Not so much for the handling aspect, but with the little V6 and manual trans it struggled a bit.

Mine was a daily for 30 years and 200000 miles.
Light hauling, trailering, and back and forth to work.
It's what they were made for, and that's what we did with them back in the day.

Did you shim the caster up like I suggested?
It's something you can do at home, in the driveway, without affecting any other adjustments.
10 degrees is what we used in order to fix customer complaint vehicles that the dealerships couldn't fix.

Just to expand on this: when the cab is not square on the frame the front end will shoot off in that direction, in order to get the hood to fit between the fenders.
Sine the bumper attaches to the frame this will manifest itself as a mismatch in the gap between the end of the bumper and...
