Agreed. Have heard the same from a few different credible engine builders recently. Parts industry as a whole sucks anymore rolling the dice on everything these days. Sign of the times.
Bumper mounted flaps with nothing immediately behind the tires always makes me cringe. Bye bye lower body paint. Might be ok in a state where the “back roads” are paved, but out here in the real world thats not going to work lol
As a disclaimer and due to the abundance of rust free frames id have to agree with the majority and say junk it but ive cleaned up rust jacking similar to that on semi frames that gross 100k without issue. Would definitely have to clean it up to see whats actually going to be left before forming...
Id call them “cabs”. Rust is sneaky. But of course where im from alot of square bodies ended their first life bombing through wheat fields with a crop sprayer in the bed. Wont be long and were going to be like the charger guys saving roll over rust buckets.

Aesthetics vs time. No one wants to show off a set of headers or charge pipes that look like they were welded by Ray Charles and thats fine when you have 100s of hours to pour into a project. Tig looks really nice but takes forever. In reality when time is money 9 times out of ten mig with a...
