    Terrible Gas Mileage

Don't know I've only had it like 3 months. See above. No. When the motor was changed from a 305 to a 350 all the old smog stuff was removed. Just got dual exhaust coming off the manifolds with an exhaust leak I'm gonna get fixed as soon as my Flowmaster 70 series mufflers get here. The...

How to fix loose gm steering column

Mine isn't loose (it's actually really tight with zero play at all) but I think there might be something going on inside it. My hazard lights don't work at all and my reverse lights only work if you hold the shifter knob in place just right. Also, when you put it in park, you kinda have to lift...

    Terrible Gas Mileage

They are larger than the factory tires but not by much. Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT 32x11.5-50R-15's. Just had em' put on so they have good tread and pressure. The local cops put one of those "YOUR SPEED IS" contraptions about a quarter mile down the road from my house, so I drive by it...

    Terrible Gas Mileage

I have put new Autolite plugs, new wires, new MSD cap, rotor, and coil. I'm going to work on the timing, idle, and adjust the carb today - or at least try. I usually try to drive around 55 - 60 MPH on the 2 lane roads but when and if I ever get on the highway I usually drive around 70.

    Terrible Gas Mileage

Well, the carb is running a little rich, but I didn't think it would make MPG that bad. Gotta adjust it. My TH350 has what I think is a factory transmission cooler. I guess it came w/the tow package?

What have you done to your square lately??

I fixed my horn (thanks Mason), put 4 new chrome pieces on the grille, and put 2 new chrome locking knobs on my vent windows. The old ones were loose and made a lot of wind noise driving down the road. Crazy how much noise these things eliminated.

    Terrible Gas Mileage

I'm getting terrible gas mileage. Like really bad. Maybe 6 or 7 MPG. Motor: 350 Trans: Turbo 350 Gear Ratio: not sure just know it's a 12 bolt rear from a '81 Suburban Any advice on what could be happening here?

    removing cluster from 89 burb

OK I'm fixing to try this myself later today. Thanks for the clarification. I've got an extra cluster so I can at least get a feel for the clip on the back before I yank the bastard that's in there out of there later today.

    removing cluster from 89 burb

Was it a tap or a spring clip? Or are those the same things?

Cut New Dash Pad For Speaker Install?

Just a heads up, the $400 TMI dash pad sold by LMC is a total piece of ****.

Drilling Holes in a Plastic Gauge Cluster Crystal?

Well, I should have 2 extra used OEM LENSES after this project is complete barring any major eff ups. If you wanna get rid of that clock hole I could probably help you out.

What have you done to your square lately??

I recently put a new grille. chrome pieces, emblem, and spacers on the front of my Blazer. This means I had a leftover, extremely faded, OEM emblem to mess with. I taped it up and painted it that "Chevrolet Red-Orange" color you are supposed to use on engine blocks. Didn't turn out perfect but...

Drilling Holes in a Plastic Gauge Cluster Crystal?

Thank you. The toothpick idea is excellent and should help out a lot. And thanks for letting me know where the clock plugs into. I was wondering where that was.

Drilling Holes in a Plastic Gauge Cluster Crystal?

I just got a brand new CRYSTAL (AKA: "Lens") from LMC. This gauge cluster CRYSTAL (AKA: "Lens") needs 2X holes drilled in it - one for the clock, one for the trip meter. Like I said earlier, I think that marking and drilling the trip meter hole shouldn't be an issue. I'm just gonna lay the old...
