Battery Wiring - New to This

Thank you - I am beginning to think the problem lies elsewhere. The truck now cranks with the new battery but will not start.

Battery Wiring - New to This

Hi, I have a 1984 GMC C1500. It stopped starting a few days ago, and the battery in it tested as bad. When I put the new battery in, I noticed a small black wire with a terminal at the end of it. A small red wire (about 16 gauge) led off of the yellow terminal to nothing. I’ve looked at...
