What have you done to your square lately??
Worked on the 88 Tailgate lots this week... Installed bench seat and saddle blanket, new lock cylinder, turn signal switch, tightened steering column with loctite, new wiper switch, new cruise control/wiper lever, all new interior leds including instrument panel, new speedometer cable, new dash... -
Best Headers for 1987 R20 TBI 454 long tube?
Do an H pipe or there is no performance gains with the headers..they're actually a pain and get in the way. I have an 88 V20 burb tbi 350 with long tubes and wish I put an h pipe in while we were in there. I have another 88 V10 burb tbi 350 with stock manifolds and it is way easier to work on in...- John-Ryan

Try these guys out.. https://www.oraclelights.com/pages/oracle-halo-kits-by-vehicle They are a company that specializes in all lighting, I used to work with them for their trade shows and the quality is top notch. I've used there products on a few trucks but not a square (yet lol).- John-Ryan

wiring path to rear of suburban
Yes, follow the rear ac lines. I'm thinking about doing a similar setup in mine but have an aux battery where the spare tire was in the rear and have all kinds of power back there.- John-Ryan

Got the 88 Tailgate (that's our nickname for it since my 88 burb has rear barn doors) dash tore apart and disassembled the rear guts of the tailgate. Went ahead and ordered lots of parts for anything needing replaced while the dash and steering are apart. You know things like..speakers, radio... -

Last couple things I did a few weeks ago..installed a Redhead steering box and a new xj steering shaft. Steers so much better. Scrolled through all the posts I've missed here and y'all are keeping up the good work! -

Good thread! Depends on the day for me..on one hand I can choose the burb if I'm towing or going to an offroad jobsite and if I need an 8' bed and save a little gas I'll take the 95 C2500.
