    hey all. 79 C1550 2wd manual tranny. 5.7 Heavy half. I plan on replacing the front springs. Does anyone know of a part number for spring seats? Moog (6454) sells the springs but doesn't have seats.

    Inline cartridge fuse to starter

    What I thought thanks for the replies. That's pretty much what I thought but better to check first. Yup planning on upgrading the cable to new 1/0 gauge. Both positive and negative will get run through a(separate ones) Scorpion distribution block. I think I'm gonna need both.

    Inline cartridge fuse to starter

    Recently acquired bare bones 79 c1500. The positive cable from battery going to the starter is first routed to a Westinghouse box that contains a 30amp copper cartridge fuse. Like the ones in older homes. Why would someone install this? Should I eliminate it?

    79 GMC Heavy Half, 350 manual tranny. New guy here. I had to pull the air cleaner off for some maintenance. For the life of me I can't remember which hose goes from the snorkel flapper to which orifice on the air cleaner temperature thingy. Does it matter?
