Looks like you need the passenger side axle shaft for a Silverado SS, and a NV149 transfer case to make it happen. I'm going a couple steps further probably, and upgrading to 99+ spindles, which will allow for the newer truck's bigger brakes (14" rotor). I've got the wheels to accommodate that...- GreaseDog

Borgeson Steering Shaft: Anyone ever use it?
shouldn't even need an alignment, as you're not changing any of the adjustable steering angles, unless your truck has been aligned without the steering box centered.- GreaseDog
