    No crank, no start.

‘87 TBI starting fine and dependable. Came out today and turn the key. In the on position, all power is there. I can hear fuel pumps. Go to start position and no noise, no starter click or anything. Where should I check first? I’m thinking an old power or ground to the starter/ battery broke...

Which ground do I start with?

I had to unlike this so I could like it again. All original wires and this makes sense. I’ll look into it and let you all know. Thanks to everyone for suggestions. I’ll have a few options with these! Thank you.

Which ground do I start with?

It’s the courtesy/dome play opposites with the cargo. All 3 work but that cargo light is giving me fits. The cargo light comes on when doors close and turns off when doors open. The stand alone cargo switch. Headlight pull doesnt effect it. Where does this white wire originate? The door jamb...

Which ground do I start with?

Interior light is on when door open, when I close it, the light goes out but the cargo light comes on. Cargo light stays on no matter where the switch is positioned. When I open the door the cargo light goes out and interior light goes on. They have this battle, one comes on when the other is...

Daughters ‘87 needs to ride smooth.

FINAL ANSWER… The sidewall max is 50psi. I wanted the tires to be properly inflated but 50 seemed too high so I got close. I just dropped all 4 tires from 45 to 35psi. What a difference! I think gas shocks are next? I’ll have her in a caddy in no time. First truck so she doesn’t have...

I didnt realize all the info needed for the questions. You’re right they’re 31x10.50x15. It’s a 350sbc. I’m going to drop the pressure on the tires (pressure was filled to max psi)and see how that may help, thanks.

Yes, a friend has a tire business. We were wanting them for the look at the time, not the ride quality. Now, I’m sending my little to college with this thing. I want it to be as 77 cadillac(y) as it can be.

It’s an old work truck. Miles are non relevant. Bought used with no idea how many times it rolled over. I’m thinking 190k at least. Tires are 33x50x15(?) (EDIT: 31x10.50x15) close anyway on 15in stock wheels. My profile is truck but I’ll try to upload the $hitbox it is. It is her daily now but...

I think Bloodhound had a good answer. It rides like a dream (baby nightmare) with a load in the bed. She doesn’t haul anything with this truck. Guess if she wants it, new leaf springs and a few bags of concrete. Because of course, she wants the stock 16 slot wheels and beauty rings. On A/T...

It’s not a rotisserie restoration. I’ll put money in but, she wants the “old” truck. I just want her to have a smoother ride. i.e. dont spill coffee on the interior we just redid. Too bumpy for that right now even on a concrete hwy.

My daughter is taking her 87 tbi off to college soon. We have replaced front end including tie rods, pitman, idler, ball joints(upper/lower) front brake disks, rear drums. We also put on Monroe OE stock shocks for safety at the time. This truck rides like int on the farm, even on smooth hwy...
