I have this Carrier that looks to be out of a stock rear end. Im about to buy it but I just dont know how to get any specs on it to confirm it is a posi, limited slip, or even fit my 8.5" 10 bolt and axels. Im told it is a limited slip for an 8.5". Can anyone here tell me what to look for? and...
Thanks for all the replys. I ran the ground to the block successfully. So far so good, but is it common for the idle to jump up when the brakes are applied while parked? Is that a sign of a potential leaky brake booster?
I replaced the stock alternator bracket with a chrome bracket for looks. The new chrome bracket does NOT have a hole for the ground from the battery. Where is the next best place for the ground? The Frame?
Thanks for the helpful information.. I understand that the single stage may not last as long. But summit does offer a single stage clear and Im hoping that will atleast help protect the paint from UV and other elements for a little longer and I do plan on using it.

The wires to the left of the motor are to your ECM, it is located usually behind you glove box. Are you running an HEI distributor? if so you definetly do NOT need them wires. They are for the ESC style dist. computer controlled.
What years are the vent windows able to swap and fit? For example, i have an 85 c10 and i found a really good deal on vent windows from a 71.. Where can i found out if the 71 vent windows would fit?
Fixed It!!!! It was the small reverse boost valve in the pic afterakk. I installed it correctly with the orange spring in the pressure regulator cylinder from the transgo kit and it working great!
Also, the transgo reprogramming kit came with the option of 2 springs for the pressure regulater valve, red or orange. It says the red is for street and heavy duty towing, and the orange is for competition. So has anybody ever used the orange? is it to hard of shifts? and will it cause long term...
