I don’t believe they’re aftermarket. I’ve seen these before in 1990-1991 Suburbans and not conversion suburbans either. It’s just that I haven’t found a set until now that’s in good enough condition to just swap in without having to figure out how to recover them in headliner material. I... -

Widest tire using stock 15x8 rallies
You know, I’ve never understood why the stamped steel rally wheels are 15x8 but the optional aluminum Budd looking wheels are only 15x7. Anyone know what the logic was behind that decision? I went round and round with this very same issue on my 1987 V10 when I first got it. From the look of the remains of the TCC plug dangling next to the trans and the plug socket filled with 40 years worth of dirt the original owner unplugged TCC the day he drove the truck off the lot. Agreed. I wish I’d have taken a pic of the 1985 cluster I bought for parts just to have it up there because there were slight differences. A lot of that info is good but some of it is bad. It states in there that you can’t run a factory tach ‘87-‘91 because of the VSS/ECM/etc on TBI trucks and that’s just not true. The white wire running off the coil on the TBI trucks is a tach signal wire and it works just fine with the GM tach...- Gander

Anyone know how to disassemble this fender antenna?
Yes, the goal is to mount a CB antenna to the bezel. I need to get it apart so I can measure and make absolutely sure that what I order for it will fit. I guess I don’t even need to worry about the mast, just the hex nut to get the current antenna off the bezel. Now I just need to figure out... -
