After seeing this again. Sometimes that AC pump is down in the frame rail. You may need to relocate or some have boxed the frame out.- forcruzen

I did an 8.1/4l80 and its been a lot of fun. Biggest recommendation would be the plug and play harness howell engineering makes for it. (It even has cruise wires labeled and ready) And the EFI tank with pump so fuel pressure is set. getting around 15/16 if I stay out of it... But the norm...- forcruzen

8.1 vortec into 1979 k30
Did it....Love it.....Just took my first 8.1L for a long distance road trip. A few tips to follow.... search "dirty larry" like that one guy said had original harness rebuilt but I still decided to do correct new harness from Howell Engineering. Find a blown up 8.1 from possibly a van. That...- forcruzen

Who Knew???
How do you know if one or two piece. Mine is an 83 it appears to be a one i cant seem to find a split in the rubber but its all so rigid.- forcruzen
