Wiring/Gauge questions
I have a 1996 LT4 in my '86 and the previous owner didn't seem to be the most electrically inclined and the current owner (me) isn't much better. This resulted in him putting in aftermarket mechanical oil pressure and water temp gauges. Additionally, my volt gauge isn't functioning. It's...- F51 LRS

Just picked up an LT4 swapped '86 C10
:favorites13: The ribbing I can handle...the bad puns not so sure lol On another note - got the leaks all squared away....damn it, I just did it too... Redid the timing cover/water pump, oil pan, & trans pan. Tight as a drum now so had a celebratory shop beer & am allowed to park in the house...- F51 LRS

That's a good shout, too. I haven't put a ton of thought into the trans just yet - I'll probably leave well enough alone until I decide to figure out all the wiring for an e trans.- F51 LRS

Just picked up an LT4 swapped '86 C10
I believe they're 3.08s, which are not ideal but I'm running a th350 so probably the best compromise currently. I may looking into an OD trans in the future (potentially 700r4) with some better gearing in the 3.40-70 range, but TBD on that.- F51 LRS

Just picked up an LT4 swapped '86 C10
Couple quick pictures from the ad just for you @Rusty Nail :hahano:. The interior is all redone, which is nice because now I don't have to do it. Though, I will probably swap the wheel for either a period correct wheel or something a little more hotrod-y. It has, I believe a 3,000 stall...- F51 LRS

Thanks for all the kind words, folks. Spent the weekend working through some of the wonky wiring one of the POs did. All lights are functioning as they should now, next up is getting the horns squared away, figuring out why my HVAC fan & control aren't working correctly, and getting the A/C...- F51 LRS

Just picked up an LT4 swapped '86 C10
The LT4 is one of the reasons I was attracted to this one - not to mention he already did the 5/7 drop and wheels which saved me the hassle and expense :D There's nothing quite like a sbc with flowmasters; having a little hot rod under the hood is also nice.- F51 LRS
