85 vent windows
I just replaced both of mine and have the old ones painted and all the screws and gaskets to rebuild them. I got frustrated with trying to get the gasket in placed. I watched videos and it’s able to be done I just took the easy way out.- duece1951

Drivers door will not unlock all the sudden.
Put truck together yesterday. Drivers door will not unlock, it’s not the key cylinder or actuator. It physically will not unlock pulling up the lock. I have the door apart and the cylinder out. Bent fuel pump rod
New pump in and new rod as well. Started right up and runs way smoother than it did before. First time out of the garage in 7 months. Thank you everyone for the input!- duece1951

Fuel pump
I ask only because that’s the exact thing mine started to do at that speed. Ran rough as well. Fuel pump died while sitting in the garage. So we have the same issue with fuel delivery. I read that was a sign of them starting to fail. Thank you for the reply and makes my guess at the issue a good...- duece1951

I get the long short bolt exchange, I just was attempting to say I had not gotten that far to use that trick so no long bolt was ever used, by me. I the past from old owners no idea.- duece1951

Well the truck is an old farm truck and say go 20+ years in a barn in Georgia. Front of the engine has old oil and dirt all over it. Took the mounting plate off to get to the rod, no gasket. So that answers where the oil had come from. Enough years of oil and dirt roads stopped the leak. So if...- duece1951

I think someone was in there at some point. The plate had no gasket behind it. At least found the oil leak issue! Thanks for the responses! The bolt that “holds it in place to change it” was the short one so that was not the issue. Been searching on the internet and I have touched nothing prior...- duece1951

Has anyone experienced a bent fuel pump rod? Truck has been parked and apart for months. Always started prior, ran rough the last few months and the new fuel filter never completely filled with fuel as did the old. Amazon has many options. I did my 84 and they work great for the headlights. The dash is simple, they plug right in, spade bulbs, again Amazon. Side markers I choose black out led lights. Wanting an Upgrade
I would also go with LMC. I had to replace a few of my interior parts that were broken. Fit was good and not too expensive. They are easy to work with as a company. -
