Thanks for the info, I have looked at vintage air. They have the old pancake style compressors. I would like to put something newer and more efficient on it. -

That’s exactly what I was thinking, I was debating replacing the evaporator or just flushing it out since it’s been sitting with no line on it for years. I really appreciate the suggestion. -

Thanks, that’s what I looking at doing. We just put a new engine in it. All the a/c parts are missing. I don’t see paying several hundred dollars for an old school pancake compressor when I can get a newer more efficient compressor for way less. Just trying to see if anyone has any parts... -

It’s a 78 C10, all of the under hood parts are missing except for the evaporator. I’m going to replace everything with new parts so hopefully I won’t have any problems. -

I’m talking about adapting aftermarket compressor/condenser/custom lines to the factory firewall stuff. I found a complete kit for $2100. I could piece my own together for way less making my own lines with aftermarket condenser and evaporator. I’m trying to help out my nephew, he just turned 18... -

Has anyone designed their own complete replacement A/C system? I’m looking at some inexpensive compressor/Condensers and making my own hoses. Wondering if anyone has done this before I start experimenting! Thanks!
