    LQ4 4L80E to NP208 Questions

Yes the output shaft is longer but only by 1-1/4", I have yet to drive my setup but my 208 TC had plenty of room for the extra length.

    LQ4 4L80E to NP208 Questions

Your 4wd 4l80 does not have a VSS, only 2wd do. I had my 4L80 rebuild and had them ad the reluctor ring to my drum like the 2wd versions have it. If that is not possible, then use a later model manual TC, which has the VSS installed or use a Dakota Digital Speedo cable to VSS converter. I don't...

    LQ4 4L80E to NP208 Questions

I used a 2007 specific Silverado TC adapter from GM. You can get it at your local dealer. Make sure you get the square O-Ring. with it. You will also need the transmission mount and either adapt it to your transmission cross member or use the one from a donor truck if available.

    Gas Tank For LS Swap

I cut my tank open and welded in an old stainless cooking pot. In hindsight I should have gotten a 87 R10 fuel tank from a 5.7 TBI with sending unit. About $250. You will also need a Walbro 255 pump that can pump at 58psi.

What have you done to your square lately??

Added Fuel Pressure Sensor to my OEM Stainless Fuel Rail. Step one: Cut Hole Step two: realizing I was not going to get all that metal out, cut one end off for cleaning Step three, weld everything Step four: Re-Cerakote Step Five: watch paint dry Step six: Insall everything

    Shift linkage problems

Don't buy the Lokar yet. Try the Free Option and bend your rod. If you buy the lokar linkage, you most likely will have to bend it as well. When I put my 4L80e into my K30, everyone is using aftermarket shifters, so tried putting my TH400 shifter arm on my 4l80e, bend the rod a little bit and...

    Radiator Options

You are correct, now that you mention it, the Duramax did have the Mechanical fans. I love re-purposing cheap parts. Many folks spend +$1000 on radiator and Fan setup and certain level of car build deserve nothing but the best but us every day guys don't need all that high dollar stuff. I also...

Hi From Ft. Bragg North Carolina

Looks very Clean! I can tell you had it all apart. When I painted mine, my bodyman was cussin every day he was sanding on it. The old CARC paint does not sand well at all and took 3-4 times more sand paper compare to standard automotive paint. Unless you have done one, people don't know. Ever...

Thank you for the pictures! Not sure if it is on my end but the first pic is cropped. What I am looking for is the wiper connection at the Bulkhead Connector. I need to see the colors of the wires.

Hi From Ft. Bragg North Carolina

Thank you Sir, I also Own a K5 all original. The Truck was converted to a 350 sbc from two previous owner ago and the the guy I bought it from converted it to a 5.3 so I don't feel bad for not having a Diesel anymore and while the 5.3 was a good engine especially with the factory 4.54 gears...

    Radiator Options

I put in a Radiator with E Fans from a 2008 Silverado in my K30. The Fans I got at a Pick and pull and the radiator I bought new for like $70 bucks. Made some spacers and a Rivenut gun.
