vent valve is at right rear corner of car, near the rear axle. take it off and apply power and ground to it and see if it clicks. Then have someone who smokes blow smoke through it to see if it leaks. I think they're around 30 bucks.
on the newer trucks, if you take out the driveshaft and put a teflon grease inside the front shaft yoke, it should go away for awhile. it is normal. on the new ones anyways. same as the f*ckin intermediate steering shafts. worked at a gm dealer before ford. seen lots of shaft snap noises. it...
talked to some jeep guys who used dom 16 and por 15 and they're weren't happy with the price or product. two of the guys are very thorough on everything and followed the instructions perfectly. mentioned peeling as a concern. tremclad is more cost effective and easy to touch up if/when needed...
tremclad. one heavy coat and one light coat. pretty happy with it. knocked off scaling rust and lightly wire wheeled the frame. i found if the metal is perfectly clean, the paint didn't adhere as well.
thanks. the white cab is from calgary. besides needing rockers there is no major rust on it. black truck body was completely rotten. will get more pics through winter as i work on cab and non a/c conversion.
as far as a heater core, i need to find out if a/c one is a heavier duty unit. might keep that. heater hose holes might be different through the firewall.
passenger side pull vent. not on driver side, i don't think. vent door and trim piece are the same. just need rod and knob to convert to manual. and the circular shield comes off too.
