    I tested the sending unit. That was part of the problem. I then grounded the new sender out and it didn’t move the needle on the gauge. To me, it’s telling me that the gauge itself needs replaced.

    I agree, it does look lower than four inches. The axle has not been flipped. Lift blocks are a good idea. Thanks!
