Factory tach
My LMC tach kit did not come with anything but the brown wire to plug into the tach slot on the distributor. No filter or resistor that I can see, and as far as I can tell, it either doesn’t need it or there was some kind or work around internally for it because as is, mine has been flawless.- ChuckN

So the new manifold gaskets are on. I used regular ultra grey around the water ports, and just a little aviation sealer around the intake ports. Changing the distributor didn’t change a thing. But after putting on the new gaskets and leaning out the carb, it seems to be running on all 8. The...- ChuckN

Sealing intake manifold?
@Ricko1966 i found some solder in the garage. Taped it vertically I a handful of spots and lightly tightened it down. It’s not bad- the greater tolerance falls at the top, not the valley side. I’m getting about .010-.015 difference on a couple- some, equal. Considering the gasket is .125 thick...- ChuckN

@Ricko1966 I at least know this- the 1206 gasket that Brodix recommends was a no go. The manifold sat so low that it would barely seal at all. I did not even try with them. I found out about that FelPro makes a thicker version of the same gasket, the 1266 that effectively raises up the...- ChuckN

Good idea, thanks bud. What I’m picking up is that will show if the china wall is parallel to the end of the manifold on the horizontal plane and then also how much clearance I have on the other side (no gasket).- ChuckN
